Join us today! Why make the shift?
We live in a reactive society. Most of us were subject to traditional, reactive conditioning throughout our formative years by parents, educators, and society in general. Providing skill training without ever addressing basic instincts often proves futile. Addressing basic perceptions and attitudes is a must if training is to be effective.
The tendency in many organizations is to focus on skill development without effectively addressing prior conditioning. “Shift Happens” provides a guide for creating a proactive, person-centered method of managing behavior and reaching individualized goals.
“Shift Happens” underlines the importance of respect as the foundation of all relationships, both between professionals and consumers and among professional peers. Employee satisfaction is a vital component of making the shift.
Due to a national staffing crisis, staff vacancies are at an all time high and getting worse. The crisis goes beyond direct support personnel. Vacancies at the supervisory and training levels are also extreme. Existing supervisory staff are overloaded and stretched dangerously thin. Consequently, it is becoming harder and harder, in some cases impossible, to give new staff all the training they need, want, and deserve. The field needs a way to address this problem.
“Shift Happens” fits the bill.
